Your Acura RDX Just Got Cooler With Amazon In-Car Delivery

September 27th, 2019 by

There’s nothing like the excitement of receiving your Amazon packages.

You pull into your driveway and see it on your porch. Or get the notification on your phone that it’s been delivered.

Ahh, such joy.

But Acura is changing the game and taking package-delivery to a new level of excitement.

Here’s what you need to know about your newest option.

Key by Amazon In-Car Delivery

If you’re the owner of a 2019 or 2020 Acura RDX and you have an active AcuraLink service AND Amazon Prime, you can choose to have your package delivered directly to your vehicle.

Key by Amazon In-Car Delivery is a new feature (as of July 2019) and is just one of the benefits of the smartphone-based AcuraLink system.

There’s no fee for this service, as long as you are a subscriber to Acura Link and Amazon Prime.

You also have to live in one of the 50 cities and surrounding areas that participate. You can find out if your city is among them at amazon.com/keyforcar.

How In-Car Delivery works

When the day arrives, you’ll be instructed to park your vehicle within two blocks of the address you’ve selected for delivery.

You’ll receive a four-hour window of time for your package to be delivered. When the driver is heading to your vehicle, you’ll get an “Arriving now” notification on your smartphone.

The driver will locate your vehicle with GPS, identify the car to verify it’s the correct one, scan your package, and request for the doors to be unlocked.

After placing the package in the vehicle, the driver will ask for the doors to be relocked. You’ll get a notification that the delivery is your car and that it has been locked.

Pretty simple, right?

Try it for yourself

Stop by Serra Acura and a member of our friendly and knowledgeable product specialists will show you a 2019 or 2020 RDX.

Take it for a spin and fall in love with the luxury. Before long, you’ll be anxiously awaiting your first In-Car Delivery.
